Screening @ 4:00 PM: When the West Side Burned—A WTTW Chicago Stories Documentary

Community Conversation @ 6:00 PM: West Side leaders join Chicago Jazz Philharmonic to share memories of Dr. King, the hope he brought to Chicago, how his assassination brought longsimmering resentment over segregation and discrimination to a boiling point, and how this still-recovering neighborhood continues the work of moving forward.

Concert @ 7:00 PM: This concert will feature footage and expansive music compositions from the documentary, along with the music that defined this time in U.S. history.
